Share your valuable skills and knowledge as a part of our team. Volunteers assist us in all areas of the library. Including processing library books, assisting in programs and classes, or delivering books to the homebound.
Ways to Volunteer for Adults
The library is currently seeking a volunteer to help maintain and promote the ESL (English as a Second Language) and citizenship collections.
Description: Making phone calls, distributing flyers around the community, verifying and updating information, helping to maintain the ESL and Citizenship collections, and coordinating with tutors to promote new resources. This person may also attend meetings in the community.
Time commitment: Flexible schedule; 2 hours, at least once a week
Skills needed: Must be at least 16 years old. Must be able to speak and write clearly in English. Must be detail-oriented. Must be able to use a computer to enter information and create documents. Must be able to search the Internet. Must be able to use a telephone. Must have a valid Driver’s License and current automobile insurance.
