Celebrate Cinco de Mayo

Get ready for Cinco de Mayo. The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican Army's victory over France on May 5, 1862 at the Battle of Puebla. Celebrate with your family at home by dressing in festive clothing, drinking a margarita, eating tacos and guacamole, listening and dancing to mariachi music, and sharing books with your children.

The library has many resources to help you plan and enjoy your celebration, including Mexican cookbooks on Overdrive and HooplaMargarita recipes on Hoopla, Cinco de Mayo books for children on Hoopla, and Music on Hoopla.
