Moon Landing 50th Anniversary

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Moon Landing with us! We have programs for all ages that will explore the history, science, and fun of the moon landing - starting July 10, with the Apollo Moon Landing when NASA Ambassador Bob Kaplow will trace the history that lead to our first steps on the moon. Then on July 11, it's Goodnight Moon Landing a showcase of moon-themed picture books, moon-themed art, and a look at the libraries new telescopes, which were donated by the Friends & Foundation. We end the week discovering celestial bodies and learning the names of the constellations outside the library with the new telescopes. And Starting in August, the library will have Orion telescopes available for checkout and take home.
